Group House Hire in Somerset

Self-catering group accommodation for up to 25 people in 9 to 10 bedrooms.

The house consists of an imposing Victorian front addition to a 17th century farmhouse. The self catering apartment consists of the south facing Victorian front and the more rustic Cider Barn. The Victorian part of the house retains most of the original features such as, high moulded ceilings, marble fireplaces and wooden floors. The Period furniture matches the Victorian features although a modern kitchen and facilities have been added. The Cider Barn area incorporates part of the 17th century farmhouse and the original cider barn with exposed beams and slate floors. Outside there is a new Hot Tub and patio area and 4 acre’s of glorious gardens which are open to the public once a year through the National Garden Scheme charity.

Trip Advisor Reviews

Stayed at Model Farm with a group of friends as a base for a walking holiday. It’s a fantastic large house with a lovely 4 acre garden and is ideal for groups. There are a couple of big rooms at the front of the house

Absolutely gorgeous country manor – spotlessly clean and full of character. Equipped with everything you need, open fires and log burners available to use (although it was too warm when we stayed to use them). The garden is just beautiful – highly recommended.

Whilst in a rural setting Model Farm Country House is only 8 minutes from the centre of Bridgwater, close to the coast, Quantock Hills, and the towns of Taunton, Glastonbury and Wells. There are many footpaths in the area that can be accessed directly from the House, the Parrett Way passes nearby and the village of Cannington with its Church, walled garden, shops and pubs is a pleasant walk.
